Infinity is running a similar play at its proximal Chicago gold project where the explorer recently unveiled a pair of compelling magnetic targets adjacent to historical gold workings via a geophysical and rock chip sampling surveys. The project forms a fragment of the company’s Central Goldfields portfolio that includes eight assets in the productive Leonora gold district – an area known for its magnitude of shear-hosted gold systems. Infinity now plans to drill test the project’s structural target zones for shear-hosted gold mineralisation using a suite of rigs.Ĭraig’s Rest sits about 250 km from Kalgoorlie and takes in a raft of potentially mineral-bearing outcrops covered by thick soil and alluvial material zones. Management says a review of the legacy data indicates the project’s precious metal bounty is concentrated within steeply dipping quartz reefs and stringer zones located inside shear zones.
